The Ecology Center has a wide array of resources to help urban residents make healthier and more environmentally friendly choices. We can give you the information or referrals you need, help you gain useful skills or knowledge, provide opportunities to join forces with like-minded people, or point you to alternative products and green services.

Environmental Hotline & Help Desk

Our friendly staffers can answer a wide range of questions on environmental topics, from toxics to composting to activism. If we can’t answer your question, we can refer you to sources who can. Visit the help desk at the Ecology Center or call the hotline.

LIBRARY

The Ecology Center maintains a library that focuses on the environmental concerns of Californians, with particular emphasis on the Bay Area. Our collection of books, magazines, DVDs, and do-it-yourself pamphlets feature subjects including toxics, renewable energy, permaculture, and more. While anyone can use our library for reference, only Ecology Center Members can check materials out.
